To confirm your reservation, we ask for a 50% deposit of the total package price. Payments can be done via Western Union, Money Gram or bank transfer. Please contact us for more details.

We ask you to pay us the remaining 50% in cash US dollars upon arrival in Quito or Papallacta. We only accept cash. Please note that we cannot accept $100 bills. Also $50 bills can be extremely difficult to change. If at all possible, we would like all contributions paid in $20 bills and smaller. You will also need small denomination notes for your personal spending money – remember there are no banks in Papallacta! If you have a credit card (VISA, MasterCard), you are able to obtain cash from different cashpoints in Quito (in banks or shopping malls). Changing travellers cheques can be a time-consuming process so you need to do this before meeting up with us.

Cancellation Policy
Sometimes the altitude or physical exercise causes exhaustion, but under no circumstances we accept a partial cancellation of the trip, since everything has been arranged and paid for. In such cases we will look for an alternative, lighter program with less physical exertion, like nature watching by car in the park.

Insurance
You must have travel insurance and cancellation insurance. The insurance should fully cover all medical, rescue and repatriation costs. Hospitals in Ecuador are not always happy to accept the word of your insurance company, so it is advisable to have a credit card with you as well in case of emergencies. Make sure you have a note of your insurance policy number and the emergency phone number. Note that free phone numbers (0800, 1-800, etc.,) DO NOT WORK OUTSIDE OF YOUR OWN COUNTRY, you need a proper telephone number that you can call from here.

Liability waiver
Upon arrival we will ask you to fill in a liability waiver. Please be aware that you participate in this adventure at your own risk. It will be a physical challenge at high altitude, in variable terrain and variable weather circumstances.
